GZ: Vigil Games is working on Warhammer 40K Online, can you tell us more about it? Who is the more vocal about this product: Table-top Games Workshop enthusiasts or video game enthusiasts?

HD: I can't give any information out about the Warhammer 40k MMo, other than it already looks very badass. We had an updated demo of it during a recent studio meeting and its pretty impressive. As for the most vocal, I can only give my opinion, and from what I've seen, it's the video game enthusiasts who also happen to be table-toppers too. They've invested a lot of time and money into that universe and they want to make sure that we do it justice and seeing that we're the only ones doing an MMO in that Universe, you can see why they're so passionate about it.

Concluzia? Vom avea o garla de detalii (cică) oferite la E3. Only two weeks to go.

Mda. Dupa cum spuneam si la magazin. Asteptati-va la un sistem Mass Effect de combat. Mounts arata highly likely cu bikes, deffkoptas etc.

Expansion packs o sa rezolve asta. Pentru moment e ok.

Avem asa, Black Templars, Orks si Multi Legion Pass Chaos (Word Bearers, World Eaters si posibil Death Guard). Deci e potential pentru trei rase momentan.

Prezentarea jocului, cel putin povestea si premisa razboiului:

On the very edge of the galaxy lies the Sargos Sector. For centuries it was rendered uninhabitable and isolated by volatile Warp Storms. Even now, deep within the sector the very fabric of reality is unraveling. Only the ancient Sentinel Devices hold the Warp at bay.

But the ravages of time and meddling of humanity have weakened the Sentinel Devices-and now, the battle for these ost worlds is at hand. Drawn to the conflict, the great races of the galaxy descend upon the Sargos Sector, seeking to preserve reality-or to tear it asunder.

Side with the forces of Order, or the vile hosts of Destruction, in a war that will unlock ancient secrets, reveal dark purposes, and determine the fate of the Sargos Sector. For in this dark millennium, there is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter.

Deci tot faction based din cate se pare. Si acum rugaciune: "God, please don't make another EA Mythic out of this."

Potential, potential si potential. Mult de tot, mai mult decat la Warhammer online. Can't wait!

Si acum vin presupunerile si dorintele de rigoare.

1. No pre-defined classes. Progresie naturala a claselor. Fara sa te bage direct intr-un arhietip. Un sistem care sa te rasplateasca pentru specializarea pe care vrei sa o urmaresti. Exemplu bun ar fi, incepi ca Space Marine Initiate si de acolo in functie de armele si gear-ul pe care le folosesti (in cazul asta Assault), sa ajungi de la Assault Marine la o clasa avansata in genul Vanguard. Sau de la un simplu Ork Boy sa te specializezi pe melee si sa progresezi natural inspre Slugga Boy dupa care Kommando/Nob, la alegere, no turning back.
2. Jocul sa fie focused heavily on PvP. Alora care nu le convine PvP-ul, ii rog sa isi marşeze cururile triste inapoi in WoW. Vorbim despre Warhammer 40k. Punct. Open World PvP desigur.
3. Fara sa oblige jucatorul in PvE ca sa progreseze. PvE-ul sa fie o forma de relaxare sau un challenge pentru cei inraiti. Instante dure, encounter-uri epice si obtinerea unor trofee ce ar oferi mici bonus-uri. Fara gear epic sau eu mai stiu ce alta gaselnita.
4. Stabilitate buna a serverelor, impreuna cu un customer support (community etc.) puternic.
5. Fara economie ilogica. Nici sa n-aud ca baga faze d-alea de genul Trade chat cu mesaje ca "WTS Chaos Infused Relic" sau mai penibil "WTT Ork Teef for Chaos Bolter". Din nou, cui nu-i convine lipsa de economie, Blizzard au deja un MMO puternic care sa va satisfaca nevoile meschine evreiesti. No pun intended.
6. Fluff facut cu cap, fara chestii over the top in genul, "Hey guys anyone up for raiding Chaplain Grimaldus tonight???". Orice forma de gameplay fie PvP/PvE sa fie facuta in legatura cu fluff-ul si nimic altceva.
7. Combat cu emfaza pe cover si tactica. M-ar intrista sa vad facerolleri si in jocul asta. Free movement, no auto-turning, all skill based. Din nou, daca nu va convine, Blizzard va da optiunea sa apasati trei butoane si sa deveniti un adevarat erou in viata reala. Femeile se vor pisa pe ele de la atata extaz vazandu-va in gear de T10. Fact.
8. All in all. Sa fie joc de barbati, facut cu bun simt, pentru comunitatea Warhammer si pentru cei care gusta PvP-ul. Nu o clona jenanta facuta in graba si cu durere de pula sa scoata profit pe termen scurt a.k.a Mythic bullshit.
